I had as assume 2D is just turn off the 3D or bypass/pass-thru the native 3D video to the TV. That doesn't seem to be the case. When I setup Kodi to output video feed of SBS or TAB to Edison 3D to do the job. Edison 3D did not automatic set correct 3D format. I had to manual go through the OSD menu to change 2D to one of the two setting call 3D(SBS) or 3D(T/B). It works better when a video is in SBS or TAB and let Edison not deal with 2D conversion into 3D. I manual change SBS or TAB back to 2D mode. My TV still blurry while I'm wearing my active 3D glasses still power 'ON' mode. That is not normal. It should turn my glasses off when 2D mode and my TV should show 2 picture of SBS or TAB clear, not blurry. I took my 3D glasses off my face so that I can see the clear picture of SBS or TAB. What? That not happen either without 3D glasses? I had to hunt down Kodi menu setting while the TV is still blurry, not a clear picture of SBS or TAB picture on the TV screen. Once I manage to Kodi 3D setting to turn off the SBS or TAB. It went back to normal.
When I have more time, I'm going to try recreated this problem and see what cause of it. It could be a bug in Kodi software or bug in Edison 3D. I'm not so sure at this point.
