I have a S6. Doing a search, we found its not compatible with HDMI mhl devices. What do I do now? I purchased an hdmi/micro adapter from Amazon but they sent me one that didn't fit my phone, so I deduced it's not a micro that I need, but a mimi. I do have a couple of tablets, still need to try out.
I'll tell you if micro HDMI (or mini HDMI) works with Edison 3D. Both should be the same thing basically but I'll just try one of them and will tell you if it works. So, don't waste your money yet.
Hi. Thanks but I already bought it thru amazon and am sending it back. After a thorough search, I find that S6 Galaxy phone is not compatible with HDMI. Now, is there a device I can insert in between?? I am my wits end trying to figure this out. Just got this S6 just before the S7 came out.
I have tested with Nvidia Shield Tablet and I can use it with Edison 3D minus using apps like Netflix which have it blocked. My TV gives me bars on the side so I had to do wide adjustment on TV. Probably a fix/hack out there to get Netflix working...anyways it works. Able to convert 2D content to 3D but native 3D YouTube videos don't automatically convert.
I have not tried this idea for S6 Galaxy phone or any video streaming device through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth with Edison 3D. You may able to get it connected from a streaming device with Wi-fi or Bluetooth (I was checking websites as my thinking was running wild). I have just discovered that it can be done with Bluetooth (BLE). I have no experience this type of set up. Here the info of "How-to" connected your S6 Galaxy phone to the TV. It talks about two different streaming device. Both of the streaming devices can plug into Edison 3D. I would recommend what djkano2001 (One of the users on this board) said about Miracast.

Miracast is the solution (you only have to open notifications and push screen mirroring). You have to buy a Miracast receiver (NOT Chromecast!)
PlayStation 3 and XBOX One are confirmed to NOT play properly 3D blu-ray with Edison. PS3 shows a message saying that you do not have a 3DTV and X1 plays the movie on 2D. I tried to find something on Settings to send a SBS image instead a full frame 3D image. But I didn't find nothing neither on ps3 nor x1

My reply has explained why and solve the Xbox from other thread.
