Just found an issue/bug or whatever you want to call it.
When switching the 3D mode from 2D-3D to 3D (SBS) or w/e and going back to 2D-3D, the image is more blurry/not aligned.
The best way to see this issue is testing a split screen video (there are VR videos on youtube. Search SBS or VR or w/e and if it's split screen, put it on full screen on the TV that has Edison 3D plugged.) You see the middle line. When you switch from 3D (SBS) to 2D-3D, you'll see that line is blurry. If you have Outward, you'll see the line is not aligned anymore.
The fix? You simply go to OSD>2D-3D>Change Convergence to Middle and back to Outward (if you had Outward. I guess do the same for Inward or Middle as well if you had those settings).
Steps: 1. Find a side by side video and put it in full screen. 2. Press 3D button to put yourself in 3D mode. 3. Go to OSD setting and change from 2D-3D to 3D (SBS). 4. Go back to OSD setting and change 3D (SBS) to 2D-3D. 5. If you see the middle line of the split screen video blurry, change the convergence to Middle and back to the convergence you set. (I only tested this when I had Outward already set as my setting. So I'm not sure if the line is blurry for the other settings as well..but I'm assuming they would be. Best to test this if you have Outward already set as your setting so you could see the error when you follow my steps.) 6. That will fix the blurry issue.
oh. I have to find side by side video. You have your device hook to the internet. My Blu-Ray player has not hooked up to the internet. I have not done that yet because I am going to overhaul my TV entertainment when I find time to do.
I have Edison 3D hooked up to an HDMI switch which is hooked up to 3 other HDMI switches. I had a TV with 2 HDMI inputs and one of them after unplugging and plugging multiple times got damaged so I was left with one HDMI input....and now I ended up with 4 total HDMI switches. (two of them have 3 inputs/1 output, one of them has 4 inputs/1 output and last one has 5 inputs/1 output)
I use Edison 3D on all devices in my bedroom on devices that have HDMI without unplugging/plugging multiple times (unless I want to directly test a device with Edison 3D not using HDMI Switches.)
