I plan tu use it in a Epson projector and maybe in the future in a cheap 4ktv, I like the idea of turn my old ps2 and ps3 games in 3D but my interest is to watch my Blu Ray 3D movies, it is possible to watch my already 3d movies with this? Is full compatible with 4ktv's? If I play a 720p ps3 games will turn into 3D 1080p? Thanks.
I could not get 3D Blu-Rays to work with my PS3/PS4 etc with this. I'll try again later.
My somewhat success has been a PC blu-ray drive. So if you want to play 3D Blu-rays, you can but you won't be using the 3D of the blu-ray since it doesn't seem to work well with native 3D. (but you can at least access it unlike PS3/PS4 where you'll likely get some "Not a 3D device" error.)
I don't know, though. I have my devices plugged to an HDMI switch (which says it's capable of 3D) but I'll try direct plugging the devices to Edison 3D and/or changing the HDMI cables for the devices/Edison 3D to see if that does anything.
For PS3 you ned to go to video settings an in HDMI select AUTOMATIC that will turn 3d options On, if works please tell me, I really want this Edison 3D to watch my 3D collection on any tv.
Before you and Cybereye (in a private message) mentioned to me to go to display settings on PS3...I tried that but did not get the 3D setting pop up (I know what that setting looks like).
Anyways, I have good news for you. I tried with Xbox One directly connecting to Edison 3D and going to it's display settings...I was able to check mark 3D on Xbox One settings. So when I did that, I immidetially put a 3D Blu-Ray disc, clicked "Play in 3D" through movie's play menu..It automatically converted Edison to 3D. In the OSD, it just says "2D" but the osd is blurry and the movie is in 3D. So, yes it works with 3D movies.
Confirmed!
**Note: When trying from my HDMI switch which claims to support 3D..it did not let me select 3D option in Xbox One menu. I think it might be the cable or the switch or something else.**

We never know that sometimes people overlook when troubleshooting under frustration. It good to know that it does use HDMI 1.4a.

My money is on the HDMI switch box, but there is 3 type of HDMI cable. Standard HDMI Cable (up to 1080i and 720p)
High-Speed HDMI Cable (1080p, 4K, 3D and deep color)
High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet (same as above, but support ethernet)
It most likely the HDMI switch may kill the feedback. The same for ARC. It True that some make a claim that it support ARC and does not.

Edison 3D use HDMI 1.4a. It does not support 4K TV. HDMI 2.0 does support 4K TV. If You have 4K TV with Edison 3D. You will never get to display 4K, but 1080p display. If you are playing any 720p format display is impossible to have 1080p 3D display.
Weirdly I was able to check and uncheck 3D settings when I plugged Xbox One cable back to HDMI switch but couldnt before I directly plugged Xbox One with Edison 3D.
I can't connect PS3 directly with Edison 3D (this happend before touching Xbox One). I get a "No signal" message then I did the video reset (holding ps3 power on for a couple of seconds until a 2nd beep)..just showed a blank screen. Tried using xbox one hdmi cable with ps3 still nothing. PS4 works but cant get native 3D to work..I know PS4 started to support 3D bluray playback but not getting an option when changing display etc. Also tried pressing HD and FHD buttons on remote nothing. In the blank black screen of PS3 im able to access Edison 3D osd menu.
So to OP Native 3D support is there but some devices may have you playing around until it works. Xbox One was mostly trouble free other then having to unplug from my HDMI switch and plugging directly..but then it also started to work with my HDMI switch after I plugged Xbox One cable back (being able to uncheck and check 3D as well as view 3D bluray).
I can't play 3D blu-rays with any console. On xbox one I get 2D image (Edison can convert to 3D, but that's stupid having already a 3D native blu-ray). On ps3 I get a "You don't have a 3DTV"

My understanding from the Admin, the X-box One playing 3D native Blu-ray through Edison 3D is proper sync to your 2DTV and your 3D glasses. If you look at the Edison 3D menu while playing native Blu-ray. The Edison OSD menu is blurring, but the not the 3D movie itself.

The way I see, in Edison 3D OSD, is that it point out as "2D" text should be reworded to "Pass-thru" when it played in 3D native format.

Oh, I forgot to explain why the cause of "You don't have a 3DTV" error because I was too focus on the BBcode error.
On ps3 I get a "You don't have a 3DTV"
I have seen this error from the 3D Blu-ray player at the retail sale person. When a hardware gives a "You don't have a 3DTV" is because of a fail handshake from not a 3D device.
Trying to understand the Edison 3D behaviors without any manual, It seems that PS3 send the handshake went "pass-thru" Edison 3D to your 2D TV that did not reply to the handshake. It would be nice if Edison 3D reply to the handshake, not pass-thru.
I was also having problems setting up PS3 3D. I couldn't get it working directly with Edison 3D so...I got my PS3 3D working by setting up the 3D setting through a 3DTV I have in the living room. I had to put the TV in 3D Mode in order to get the 3D display setting. Once I did that, I was able to get that 3D display setting and choose the screen size for my TV (I chose 32inch as that's the size of my TV in bedroom with Edison 3D.) Then I brought PS3 back over to bedroom where Edison 3D is hooked up and I was able to play both 3D blu-ray games and movies. The 3D is there...you just need to do glasses calibration, play around with convergence, change scene to movie if you have it set to something else etc.
Oh....Keep in mind that the glasses setting you had saved for Edison 3D in "2D-3D" doesn't get applied to native 3D or the other 3D modes. You have to start over again for each 3D mode. So, if you aren't seeing 3D image you probably have to re-calibrate glasses. For example; if you had LV: 7 and SL: 3 in "2D-3D" you probably have LV: 1 and SL: 1 in "2D" and/or native 3D (think native 3D has the same glasses setting as 2D but I'm not sure haven't checked.)
