My Edison is not working. I plugged on 2 tvs but I don't get any image on screen. I tried 2 hdmi cables. I checked correct input of tv. I tried putting hdmi on edison input knowing that I have to connect tv to edison output just for test if it works.
Yes. There was a red light. Inexplicably I tried on a third TV and it works!!! So without shutting off I changed the HDMI to the other TV and I'm right now seeing a top/bottom 3D movie. I don't know how to make it work next time, because I tried a lot of times and all was theoretically correctly configured and connected
That sound like your Edison 3D is in VR mode. Press Button on the remote to get out of the VR mode. If you still can't see the picture then your TV may not support 1080p. You may have to press Button on the remote to display 780p to see the video. That depend on the TV support that you have.

I tried that. The HD and the TV buttons. The only difference the third time I tested was a movie of my multimedia player was playing (the other tests my multimedia player was on menus). So I think there's need a moving image or maybe my multimedia player use an SD mode on menus ( maybe 576i) and Edison maybe not work with SD modes.
I don't think Edison 3D don't care what video format display as long the video source is HDMI that sends transition-minimized differential signaling (TMDS). I had tried to use VGA to HDMI converter and send the video signal into Edison 3D. Edison 3D refuse to send output video signal to the HDMI monitor. I may have a crappy VGA to HDMI converter or Edison doesn't like non-standard TMDS. I know VGA video signal doesn't use TMDS. Someday I'm going to try DVI to HDMI converter and feed into Edison 3D to see if Edison 3D will send the video signal to the TV. DVI and HDMI both use TMDS. The question I wanted to see if Edison 3D able to process 3D effect correctly or not.
It shows you real 3D if you put SBS or Top Bottom content on its input. It makes somewhat good 3d conversion if you put 2d content. Like any other converter. For the moment the best and the only good (viewable and enjoyable) 3d conversion I have seen it's from PowerDVD, and still is a big difference far from real 3D content.
You pointed out the problem when video display 576i (PAL or SECAM). You gave me an idea to test if the video resolution may not work on Edison 3D. I force my Blu-Ray player to display 480p. It went black and lost the signal. I had to check what the Maximum resolution for VGA. Original VGA standard was meant to output 640x480 but has evolved far beyond 640x480. The resolution champion today seems to be WHUXGA (Wide Hex Ultra Extended Graphics Array) with a resolution of 7680x4800. I know that I had play movies in 480p format but the video display is still 1080p. That may clear up other users that have a problem watching a video that displays 576i or lower. It would have to be forced to display higher than 576i to watch it from Edison 3D. You may have to set the media player always display 780p or higher.
