I gave 4 stars, Edison 3D has lots of room for improvement within the user interface and the hardware. Major problem is that it doesn't have an installation guide. Once my active 3d glasses can't hold the charges anymore by then I hope they have the new version of the active 3d glasses that have a faster refresh rate. That will be eliminated the flickering from the active 3d glasses.

I agree with the 4 stars and what you have said. I would have rated higher but no installation guide was a mistake on their part. There is a good amount of messing around with in the settings to get the 3D image right and I like that. I like that this is much cheaper than the competition out there which made it easier for me to jump in.
Features/Other Requests: - Installation Guide: Very much needed. Not everyone is going to understand how to set up Edison 3D. - Power button and maybe some setting up buttons on the box itself. - Less flickering glasses. Longer lasting battery. On/Off switch rather then button. Blinking LED indicator when glasses are on. (though, you can tell if glasses are on just by seeing if the glasses are dark. Still would be nice to have an indictor for when the glasses are on as it's much easier to see from a distance the status of glasses.) - Firmware upgradeable through either wi-fi or having an additional USB port for upgrading firmware. People should also be allowed to install custom firmware as they please. - Ability to save your favorite preferences/settings. Like have 5 slots or something of settings saved so you can go through them. - Adding all the possible 3D setting adjustments on the remote.
As far I know is the only 3D device that supports higher than 1080p as the main reason I buy for that to be used on the PC computer. My family stole my Edison 3D when they discover how well Edison 3D did once you workout on the kink of the setting. My family demands me to move Edison 3D to the TV. As you had pointed on improvement, I agree. Since you added a request I'm going to add some more to it. My request is not a major needed, but an improvement. Requests: -HDMI switcher and/or other video ports. -remote needed to improve signal response. -Edison 3D can support with multi monitors. -Add built-in picture or animation made for syncing the glasses and Edison 3D.
Ah. A built-in picture or animation would be nice for setting up glasses. As for the other features, idk how much more that will add to the cost..you can just use an HDMI switch (multi device) or splitter (multi monitor).
You are correct that it will add cost. Maybe Edison 3D pro for those who wants HDMI switcher and other video ports built into Edison 3D. I was thinking of getting three Edison 3D for my three monitor. I'm just not so sure if the 3D glasses can deal with 3 Edison 3D all at once.
I'm going to add Request for Edison 3D on my list. Unless it a bug that I'm not aware of. -Please don't kill HDMI-CEC. Just pass-thru to another device.
